When and where is IEM Rio 2026? ▾

IEM Rio 2026 runs April 13–19, 2026. The group stage opens on April 13, with playoffs at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro from April 17–19. Organised by ESL in partnership with the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Rio de Janeiro Esports Federation (FERJEE).

What is the format? ▾

16 teams split into two GSL double-elimination groups of 8. Top 3 from each group advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket. All matches are Best-of-3 except the Grand Final, which is Best-of-5.

Where can I watch? ▾

IEM Rio 2026 is broadcast live on ESL's official Twitch and YouTube channels. The in-arena broadcast is in Portuguese. Follow rdy.gg for real-time results and analysis during every match.

What is the map pool? ▾

The active map pool for IEM Rio 2026 includes: Ancient, Train, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass.

What is the ESL Grand Slam? ▾

The ESL Grand Slam is a $1,000,000 bonus awarded to the first team to win 4 IEM titles within 10 consecutive events. IEM Rio 2026 is part of the Grand Slam race. Vitality currently lead with 2 wins.
